Why We Started
A Straight Answer to a Simple Complaint
Gilded Bullion began selling precious metals in January 2025, built around a complaint we kept hearing from bullion buyers everywhere: pricing is opaque, shipping is slow or unclear, and getting a straight answer from a real person is harder than it should be.
We launched our online storefront in 2026 to bring that same directness to the web — real inventory across gold bars and coins, silver bars and coins, and platinum coins, pricing you can see plainly before you check out, and orders that ship tracked and insured as standard, not as an upsell.
We're a young company, and we're not going to pretend otherwise. What we can promise is that every order gets the same level of care as the last, and that we're building this business the way we'd want to buy from someone else.

Founder & CEO
Alexander Sterling founded Gilded Bullion in 2025 to build the kind of precious-metals dealer he wanted to buy from himself — transparent on price, careful with shipping, and easy to reach when it matters.
He started from the buyer's side of the table: frustrated by pricing that took real effort to decode and customer service that treated a phone call like an inconvenience, he set out to run a dealership that does the opposite. That's the standard he holds the business to today — not a slogan, just the reason it exists.
He's still closely involved in how Gilded Bullion runs day to day, from the inventory the company carries to how orders get packed and shipped, because getting the details right matters more to him than growing around them.
